Roman Bilinski will end his F4 British campaign early and will take no further part in the 2021 Championship Carlin can confirm. The Polish racer will miss the five remaining races of the season.
Bilinski entered his second season of British F4 earlier this year but his first with the Carlin team. The 17-year-old claimed his first podium of the season in Oulton Park earlier this month, but missed the last race on the calendar at Knockhill as he competed in the clashing GB3 race at Silverstone. Bilinski will now finish the season in the GB3 Championship having won two races in Spa and Snetterton.
“I’d like to thank the guys in the Carlin British F4 team for being so great this year” said Bilinski. “We had a great time together and although it didn’t turn into the season we hoped for, it was a hugely enjoyable experience working with all the guys. Big thanks also to Trevor for working with us on the second half of the season. I’m sure we will have chance to race together again in the future.”
Trevor Carlin added, “We appreciate that Roman and his sponsors’ focus has changed this season with a desire now to focus on the GB3 Championship for the remainder of the year. Sometimes a campaign doesn’t quite go according to plan, but together we have worked out a mutually agreeably plan to move forwards. We wish Roman lots of luck in the remaining GB3 Championship races and hope we have chance to work together in the future.”
