A topsy turvey qualifying set the scene for the weekend. Only the first few minutes in the session produced quick, dry lap times before rainfall left everyone well off the qualifying pace. This meant that only those who had been able to get an early clean lap were able to capitalise; the Carlin drivers found themselves in positions they hadn't expected to be in as a result.
Over the course of the three races, the weather continued to play its part however produced some great action around the Norfolk circuit. O'Sullivan managed to fight his way through the field with some stunning overtaking moves and took second place in both race two and race three. Extending his championship lead as a result.
Mansell was also a big mover throughout the weekend and his stellar performances saw him collate enough points to elevate himself up to second in the championship ensuring that the Carlin colours lead the field after five rounds.
Aron put on a brilliant defensive drive as he made his GB3 car the widest it could possibly be during the second race of the weekend to cross the line sixth - securing a good haul of points.
Zak O'Sullivan said of the weekend,
"Overall I think it was a good weekend at Snetterton. We had a DNF in race one which was unfortunate but I think we made up for that with the podiums in races two and three - that was a good recovery. Race three was a bit busy with lots of overtakes and then the weather changing towards the end so that was a case of keeping my cool. But we've now got a bit of a margin in the championship as a result of picking up lots of good points."
