Rodin Motorsport has enjoyed a strong start to the 2025 FIA Formula 3 Championship season as action got underway for round one in Melbourne, Australia, this weekend.

The team delivered an all-round stellar performance with Roman Bilinski securing a podium finish in third, alongside great efforts from 2024 F3 race winner Callum Voisin who clocked up points for himself and the team, while rookie racer Louis Sharp proved great potential throughout the weekend.

Following an impressive showing in qualifying on Friday, Bilinski made a significant impact on the championship in his debut by securing third place in the Sprint Race on Saturday. Starting from third on the grid, Bilinski put on an assured drive; battling with the leaders to earn a well-deserved podium spot. Marking a proud moment in motorsport history, the flag of Poland was raised on the F3 podium for the very first time.

Reflecting on his debut podium finish, Bilinski said,

"It's a good start for sure. It could have been better; I made a couple of mistakes, but for the first race in Formula 3 to be on the podium, I think is all that my team and I could ask for. We'll try and keep building on this and see what happens.
"For sure, I wanted to go for the win. I was managing a little bit, staying in the DRS and waiting for those last few laps. A bit of a shame the Safety Car came out, but these things happen."

Sharp had an eventful sprint race, starting from 15th and quickly moving up to ninth. However, the Rodin Cars Ambassador driver suffered a collision after being hit from behind which dropped him right back to 24thand leaving him with a fightback on his hands. Determined to make a mark, he fought well and finished 18th overall.

Voisin also delivered a strong performance as he made his return to the series. Starting from 18th he charged through the field to finish in ninth. Already a race winner during the 2024 season, Voisin once again showcased his ability to navigate well through the race and secure solid points – cementing his ambitions for the upcoming season.

The trio had high hopes ahead of the Feature Race on Sunday however, the race presented fresh challenges. Bilinski crossed the line in ninth while Sharp gained on his starting position to finish 14th; a solid opening weekend for the rookie racers. Voisin meanwhile was an early casualty of the challenging conditions as he suffered contact from Nikola Tsolov which left the Rodin Motorsport driver beached on the wet grass and unable to re-join the race.

In the overall standings, Rodin Motorsport leave the round one in sixth place.

Next up, the team prepares to tackle the streets of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where the sole aim of maintaining momentum is on the agenda.
