Racing all over the world at some of the most highly respected circuits, including Monaco, the championship has become the place for drivers to showcase their talent.
In the formerly named GP2 Series, Carlin came second in the 2014 Championship – while the team’s driver Felipe Nasr moved straight from Carlin to the Sauber Formula One Team as one of the team’s drivers for the 2015 and 2016 seasons.
While the team sat out the 2017 season, Carlin have fielded many drivers in their GP2 Series team on their way up the ladder – IndyCar racer Max Chilton was a race winner with Carlin before joining Formula One and ultimately the Indy Car field. 2018 was a strong returning year for the Carlin team, becoming Teams’ Champions with Lando Norris and Sergio Sette Camara.
As the top of the FIA’s junior motorsport ladder, the category is the perfect pinnacle to Rodin Carlin’s junior programmes.
Carlin's 2020 race winner Yuki Tsunoda stepped straight from the team's F2 machinery into a Formula 1 race seat at AlphaTauri for the following season. F1 Red Bull Junior Drivers Enzo Fittipaldi and rookie Zane Maloney make up the Rodin Carlin's 2023 line-up.
