GB3

Rodin Motorsport driver Abbi Pulling made history at Circuit Spa-Francorchamps, becoming the first woman to secure pole position and win a race in the GB3 Championship.

The 2024 F1 Academy Champion delivered a standout performance during the weekend, topping Friday’s qualifying session in what was the closest qualifying of the season so far to secure pole position.

Starting from pole position for Saturday’s opening race, Pulling converted her pace into victory to claim her first GB3 win and become the first female driver to win a race in the championship’s history.

The result marks another milestone in Pulling’s career, moving her up to sixth in the championship standings and strengthening her position in the title fight.

Upon securing victory at Spa-Francorchamps, Abbi Pulling said,

“It’s an incredible feeling. To take pole position and win the race on pure pace and merit makes it even more special. Nothing was handed to us this weekend, so it’s really satisfying to see all the hard work from myself and the team pay off. To make history with Rodin Motorsport and Rodin Cars is something I’m really proud of. To lead from lights to flag at Spa-Francorchamps and come away with the win feels like one of the best races of my career so far.”

Rodin Motorsport’s Sporting Director, Benn Huntingford,

“Abbi has done a great job all weekend. She was quick from the start and drove really well in qualifying to get pole in a competitive session. To come away with the win and become the first woman to take pole position and win a GB3 race is a fantastic achievement, and we’re proud to see that milestone achieved with Rodin Motorsport.”
