Rodin Motorsport has enjoyed a bumper British F4 weekend at Silverstone as the second round of the 2025 Championship got underway. The team clinched victory in all three races over the course of the weekend with Jimmy Piszcyk claiming two race wins from pole position, while Adam Al Azhari snatched up a race win in the second showing on Saturday morning.
With just two cars out on track this weekend, due to a clashing F1 Academy round for Ella Lloyd in Miami, it was a slight change to proceedings for the entire field; the weekend was moved forward by one day, with qualifying and race one taking place on Friday and two further races on Saturday.
However, as had been the case in pre-weekend test sessions, Piszcyk wasted no time impressing during qualifying. He quickly positioned himself at the sharp end of the grid and remained on pace throughout to clinch both pole positions on offer. Meanwhile Al Azhari also took a strong position, setting the stage for an exciting weekend.
Racing later that afternoon, Piszcyk launched brilliantly off the line and held his nerve to maintain his advantage despite an early safety car. Making sure to control the field, he put in a fantastic performance, including a further safety car restart, to clinch a lights-to-flag victory at the Silverstone circuit. Al Azhari took the flag in 17th following a slightly more challenging race in the midfield.
Saturday morning brought differing fortunes for Al Azhari, who made sure to capitalise on his starting position of third. Navigating the early laps well, he was able to take advantage of a gap to move into the lead; from there, Al Azhari kept his cool and took his maiden British F4 victory - and the 300th in the Championship's history to boot. Piszcyk, meanwhile, sustained contact while in eighth position, which sent him spiralling down the order to finish 13th.
The third and final race on Saturday afternoon once again saw Piszcyk starting from pole position, which he converted brilliantly into victory while Al Azhari took the flag in tenth. The clean sweep of victories ensures that Piszcyk leads the championship standings in this early stage while Rodin sits third overall.
Reflecting on the weekend, Piszcyk said, “It was great to convert the pole positions into wins this weekend – that was a super cool way to wrap things up. The team has done an amazing job this and it was also great to see Adam win race two too. It’s full push now for round three and hoping to keep producing results like this.”
Having taken his first win in the competitive championship, Al Azhari said, “Taking my first win in British f4 – I’m so happy not sure what to say to be honest! It was a great race out there and I’m hoping for more of the same this season. It means a lot to see the hard work pay off.”
Following the double header to start the season, the team now has a slight break in the calendar ahead of round three at Snetterton on 24-25thMay.
