Dries Van Langendonck has been crowned the 2026 British F4 Champion with Rodin Motorsport, securing the title with 344 points.

At the season finale, Dries secured the Drivers’ Championship on Saturday with a P2 finish in Race 1, with two races still remaining. He then secured the Rookie Cup after Race 2 on Sunday.

Upon winning the championship, Dries said:

“I’m very happy to win the championship, and to get it done earlier feels like a weight lifted off my shoulders. A big thank you to the team, it’s been unreal. I couldn’t have done this without them.”

Part of the McLaren Driver Development Programme, Dries first joined Rodin Motorsport for the final three rounds of the 2025 British F4 season, taking his maiden pole and victory in the championship on his debut weekend at Donington Park.

Dries then went on to win the Formula Winter Series with Rodin before returning for his first full British F4 campaign in 2026.

Returning to Donington Park for the opening round of the season, the Belgian driver made an immediate impact, claiming pole in both qualifying sessions before securing victory in Race 1. He continued to fight at the front throughout the season, consistently challenging for wins and podiums, securing the Pirelli hardest charger award.

A particularly successful weekend came at Zandvoort in Round 5, where Dries again secured double pole before taking victories in Race 1 and Race 3. He repeated the achievement at Croft in Round 6, claiming both qualifying poles and victories in Race 1 and Race 3.

Across his rookie season, Dries secured 4 pole positions and 12 podiums, including an impressive 8 race wins.

Richard Legge, British F4 Team Manager, said:

“It’s been great to be part of the journey through Dries’ first full year of car racing. We’ve worked hard as a team to get there, had a lot of fun along the way, and to wrap up the championship win with two races to go is quite special.”

Rodin Motorsport’s Sporting Director, Benn Huntingford, commented:

“We’re incredibly proud of what Dries has achieved this season. He’s shown great consistency and race-winning pace throughout the year, and to secure the championship with two races to spare is a fantastic achievement. We’re delighted to have been part of his journey.”
