Rodin Motorsport confirms ground-breaking Dynisma Simulator agreement

FIA Formula 2
September 26, 2024

Rodin Motorsport is pleased to confirm the purchase agreement of a bespoke Dynisma DMG-1 Simulator. The ground-breaking simulator technology will be used by the team for car development and set up as well as circuit familiarisation for their professional racing drivers. The impressive technology, provided by Bristol-based innovators Dynisma, will propel Rodin Motorsport to the forefront of simulation technology and driving aids.

Dynisma prides itself on a revolutionary approach to simulators; setting new standards by providing the lowest latency and highest bandwidth to ensure an experience as close to reality as possible. The DMG-1, which will be delivered and installed in 2025, reacts to driver input and allows drivers to feedback instantaneously, as they would in a race car, making the experience second to none.

David Dicker, Rodin Motorsport Owner, said, “I am thrilled that we are working with Dynisma as we continue our journey as a team with this new simulator. I truly believe this is going to be an extremely beneficial tool to the whole team and is a testament to everything we are striving to achieve here at Rodin Motorsport. I’m incredibly proud of the work we’ve put in so far, and this is the next step; I can’t wait for our drivers to begin using this, and our engineers to utilise this amazing piece of technology fully.”

Benn Huntingford, F2 Team Manager, said “Having a simulator on site of the standard of the DMG-1 is going to be a game changer internally for how we approach our seasons. Not only will we be able to continue our push with our driver preparation but it allows us the opportunity to really look at our car set up and evaluate things in a landscape where testing just isn’t possible.

“We’ve already seen from Callum [Voisin – 2024 Rodin Motorsport FIA F3 Driver] testing the simulator that it is an incredibly useful tool so we’re very much looking forward to working with Dynisma and getting the simulator on site next year.”

Callum Voisin, 2024 Rodin Motorsport F3 driver, added, “I was fortunate enough to be invited to the Dynisma HQ a couple of months ago to test out the simulator and I was really impressed with the technology and how it felt to drive. From my point of view, it’s an incredibly useful piece of kit. I did a session around Spa on the simulator and then went an won my first F3 race at Spa just a couple of weeks later – it was so realistic. I’m really happy I was able to help Rodin Motorsport on this journey.”

Ashley Warne, Dynisma CEO, said, “Dynisma’s mission has always been to create the world’s most immersive simulators, with the highest bandwidth and lowest latency possible. I am delighted we have agreed this relationship with Rodin Motorsport and am looking forward to seeing them leverage our world-leading technologies to optimise car setups and give drivers more preparation given limited track time in the coming racing seasons.”
